Earth Hour

Did you know that more than 10,000 people and 450 companies in Singapore have pledged to "switch off" for one hour from 8.30pm (28 March) to mark Earth Hour? It is the global initiative by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) to raise awareness about climate change and global warming. Famous local landmarks such as the Merlion, the Singapore Flyer, the Underwater World in Sentosa and Changi Airport are showing their support. At least 2700 cities in 84 countries around the world have committed to mark Earth Hour. Do you know what it is all about? Read up about it! Watch it here!


On Child Care Leave

Mrs Leow is on a 1-day child care leave. Both daughters, 2-year-old Jing Tong and 4-year-old Jing Ying, are down with fever, cough and runny nose.

Expansion and Contraction of Matter

Pupils take turns to observe the water level in the glass tube (before and after expansion).
When the flask is heated, the air inside it gains heat and expands into the balloon, causing it to inflate.

Pupils Create Math Questions

Two weeks ago, pupils of 4 Hope created their own Math questions, using 5 sets of key words.
5 times     at first      $860      Mr Lim      Mr Chen
Members in the groups put their brains together .. and viola! Each group came up with a different question. Try to solve them!
